Much needed updates

I thought it was about time to update our blog template. I was getting tired of the dots, plus our family picture was from almost a year ago! I reluctantly put the new photo up, I really dislike myself in the photo, it was the first and last time I will ever dye my hair dark!

Christmas

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Even though Hailey still didn't really know what was going on she enjoyed having family here and all the fun toys she got! I think her favorite present was a trike from her Aunt Julie. Whenever she sees it she demands to go for a ride. She also got a lot of fun presents from her Aunt Jen and cousin Caitlin. She really loves her dolls and likes to feed them a bottle, it's so cute. We took Hailey and Caitlin to a children's play center and they had a lot of fun. The center had a track that you could ride cars on and a pirate ship with a slide and a small piano to play. Hailey's favorite was the campground, there were all types of stuffed animals and she tried to pick up all of them at once and got mad when she couldn't hold them all. I am so glad that Hailey and Caitlin are so close in age, I know they are going to have so much fun growing up together!

On other family news, we found out that we will definitely be moving in a few months. Mike's extension request was denied so we will find out where we will be moving on January 22nd. We are really hoping that we will get moved back to DC so keep your fingers crossed for us! The thought of moving with a toddler is something I do not want to do! I don't know how on earth I will be able to keep the house spotless until we sell it. Hopefully we will sell quick!

What has daddy done!

I came home from the grocery store today and this is what my darling Hailey looked like. Her daddy managed to turn her into a bad flashback of the 80's complete with sock's pulled over the pants and side ponytails. His excuse was that her pants were too long and her hair kept getting in her eyes.

Yesterday Hailey wanted me to push her around in her toy stroller. I didn't think a $8 stroller could hold a 23 pound baby but I guess I was wrong! She is still really into her stuffed animals and can usually be found carrying at least 2 around at a time. She likes to have both arms filled!

Gymboree Holiday Party

Today we went to a Holiday party at Gymboree and it was really great because daddy got to come. Actually, it was really more of a play gym that they called a Holiday party. Hailey and I started taking classes at Gymboree when she was about 4 months old and there are 3 other kids Hailey's age who have been in our class since we started. We really love our class and it was fun for Hailey to play with her friends today and I always love chatting with the other moms. Here are some of the pictures of her with her friends.

Silly Girl

Hailey has really turned into a goofball these past few months. Her personality is really coming out and it is so fun to see. I was folding laundry the other day and she decided she wanted to wear socks on her hands so her daddy piled a few layers and she walked around with sock hands, then she freaked out when he tried to take them off. She has really been into our bunny Bosco and she loves to chase him around and give him kisses. Then she will scream and run from him, it's so funny to watch. What has really amazed me lately is how much she understands. She will point to the dog and light when I ask where they are but she still isn't saying any words.

Our neighborhood had it's annual kid's christmas party so we went to visit Santa this weekend and that did not go well at all. Of course I forced her to stay in his lap while I snapped some pictures for the photo album. She also got to ride the little train but that go no reaction at all. Oh and your eyes are not playing tricks on you, Hailey is in fact wearing a summer dress in the pictures. We have had some crazy warm weather this past week, it was about 80 degrees so I was forced to dig out some summer clothes. We aren't complaining though it has been so nice to be able to play outside without being bundled up!
