The funny things kids do

Today I was in the kitchen on the computer and I thought Hailey was just playing nicely by herself. Then I kept hearing her laughing so when I went into the living room I saw what she had done. She loves to give Brandi treats, so she went in the pantry, found a bag of beef jerky and proceeded to feed the entire bag to Brandi. I couldn't get mad because it was just so cute. I'm sure Brandi now has a new best friend!

My inner Martha Stewart

Hailey has been watching the Noggin channel since she was about 8 months old and she has been obsessed with it's characters Moose a. Moose and Zee ever since. Whenever he is on the T.V it's the only thing she will watch. Well, Noggin does not sell Moose merchandise and I knew Hailey would just love a Moose stuffed animal so I decided to draw on my inner Martha Stewart and give it a go. After 2 days I finally finished my protocol. Now I admit it's not perfect, the eyes may be a bit large and the arms may be a bit small, but I am dang proud of myself that it at least resembles Moose. Knowing myself I'm sure I will make another one that is a little closer to perfect but Hailey seems to love this one just fine. It was actually fun and I might even make a couple for Hailey's friends who equally love Moose.

Grandpa Provost visits

My dad finally came out for a visit last week and it was really great to have him here. He has ony been able to see Hailey one other time since she was born so I was glad he could come out and spend some time with her. We didn't do very much, Charlotte isn't really a great town to visit unless you are a NASCAR fan. We did go to the outlet mall one day and Hailey had a lot of fun looking at the fish in the Bass Pro Shop. I think she would really enjoy going to an aquarium so maybe next time we are in DC we can go to the Baltimore aquarium with her. She also got to ride on a Carousel and she seemed to really like it. Overall it was great to have him here and we made a deal that every 6 months he would come out for a visit!
