Crazy faces

I think Hailey must have discovered she has lips this week. She has been making the funniest faces lately! She likes to suck her lips in like a fish and contort her lips in all sorts of ways. Of course she wouldn't let me get a picture of her crazy faces, the camera is way too fascinating, but we took these cute pictures of her today in her piggy tails!

The Terrible Teething

Oh our little Hailey is growing up! This past week a tooth has finally erupted through her gums. Right now the bottom right tooth is working it's way out and I think the left bottom tooth won't be far behind. It's so hard to see her go through the discomfort of teething, but I guess we all made it through and she will too! She has actually been taking it pretty well, but it's at night that she seems to have the most trouble. She had been sleeping at least 8 hours at a time, but now she is waking up at lest 2 or 3 times a night. I forgot how tiring it is when they get up so often, I've been spoiled these past months so I'm feeling a bit sleep deprived. Hopefully she will get accustomed to the pain and start sleeping better and we will all be happier!

What goes up, Must come down

Hailey is getting really good at pulling herself up and walking while holding onto something. Unfortunatley, with standing up comes falling down, and our little girl got her first boo boo. She took it surprisingly well though and only shed a few tears. She has also started giving big wet slobbery kisses. It's quite slimy, but the sweetest thing ever.

Just the two of us

Wow this week has been exhausting! Mike went up to Quantico on Sunday to help teach a Defense Tactics class so it's just been Hailey and I. I've got to say I don't know how single parents do it! It's so hard to not have anyone to help out and give you even an hour to relax! It doesn't help that Hailey refuses to sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time during the day. But thankfully she has been pretty well behaved this week, she is really starting to be my little bud. We laugh at each other now and she always wants me right by her side. I don't think she is ever going to crawl though, I try and get her to stay up on her knees but after about 10 seconds she drops to her stomach and screams to be picked up. I think she is just going to go straight to walking, all she wants is to stand and walk between objects. Well thankfully Mike will be home tomorrow and I can get some much needed rest!
